Refund and Returns Policy
Overview
At World of Motos, we want our customers to be satisfied with their purchase. This Return & Refund Policy explains when products can be returned, how refunds are handled, and which products are excluded from return.
This policy applies to consumer purchases made through our webshop. Business-to-business orders may be subject to different conditions.
14-Day Right of Withdrawal
For most online purchases, consumers have the legal right to cancel and return the order within 14 days after receiving the product, without giving a reason.
To use this right, you must inform us within 14 days after receiving the product. After notifying us, the product must be returned without unnecessary delay.
Returned products must be:
- unused;
- undamaged;
- complete;
- in the original packaging where reasonably possible;
- including all accessories, manuals, labels, protective materials, and original parts.
You may inspect the product as you would reasonably be allowed to do in a physical shop. If the product has been used more than necessary, installed, damaged, worn, modified, or is no longer in original condition, we may reduce the refund or refuse the return if the product can no longer be resold.
Used, Installed, or Damaged Products
Products that have been mounted, fitted, installed, tested on a vehicle, used on the road, used on track, damaged, scratched, contaminated, or returned incomplete are not accepted as normal returns.
If a returned product shows signs of use, installation, wear, damage, missing parts, or non-original packaging, World of Motos will inspect the product and decide whether a refund is possible. Any loss in value caused by unnecessary handling may be deducted from the refund.
Custom, Special Order, and Made-to-Order Products
Custom products, special-order products, made-to-order products, personalized products, and products ordered specifically for the customer cannot be returned under the normal right of withdrawal.
These products can only be returned if there is a proven manufacturing issue, defect, or non-conformity, and only after approval by World of Motos.
Approval from a manufacturer or supplier may be required, but the customer must always contact World of Motos first.
Racing Products
Racing products, competition parts, track-use parts, and products intended for motorsport use are supplied for specialist use.
Returns of racing products are not accepted once the product has been fitted, installed, tested, used, or prepared for use.
Racing products may only be returned if:
- the product is unused and still in original condition within the legal return period; or
- there is a proven manufacturing defect or non-conformity accepted after inspection by World of Motos.
Damage caused by incorrect installation, incorrect use, racing use, crash damage, wear, heat, fluids, modification, or misuse is not considered a manufacturing defect.
Defective or Incorrect Products
If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect product, please contact us as soon as possible with:
- your order number;
- a clear description of the issue;
- photos or videos showing the problem;
- photos of the packaging if the product arrived damaged.
Do not install or use a product if you believe it is defective or incorrect. Using or installing the product may affect the return or warranty assessment.
World of Motos will inspect the claim and decide the correct solution, such as repair, replacement, refund, or manufacturer assessment where applicable.
Do Not Return Products to the Manufacturer
Please do not send products directly back to the manufacturer, supplier, or distributor.
All returns must first be approved by World of Motos. After approval, we will provide the correct return instructions and return address.
Products sent to the wrong address, or returned without approval, may be delayed or refused.
Return Shipping Costs
The customer is responsible for arranging and paying the return shipping costs, unless World of Motos has agreed otherwise in writing or the return is caused by an error from our side.
Return shipping costs depend on the shipping company or carrier chosen by the customer.
We recommend using a trackable and insured shipping service. World of Motos is not responsible for return shipments that are lost, damaged, or not delivered.
Original Shipping Costs
If you return your complete order within the legal withdrawal period, we will refund the product price and the standard original delivery cost.
If you selected a more expensive shipping option than the standard delivery option, the extra shipping costs will not be refunded.
If you return only part of your order, the original shipping costs will not be refunded.
Refunds
After we receive your returned product, the World of Motos team will inspect it.
We will check whether the product is:
- unused;
- complete;
- undamaged;
- in original condition;
- suitable for resale;
- not excluded from return.
If the return is approved, the refund will be made using the same payment method used for the original order, unless agreed otherwise.
Refunds are processed after inspection and in accordance with the legal refund period. We may wait with the refund until we have received the product back or until you have provided proof that the product has been returned.
Refused or Reduced Refunds
A refund may be refused or reduced if:
- the product has been used;
- the product has been installed or fitted;
- the product is damaged;
- parts, accessories, labels, manuals, or packaging are missing;
- the product is returned too late;
- the product is a custom, special-order, or made-to-order item;
- the product is a racing product that has been used, mounted, or tested;
- the product was returned without approval or to the wrong address.
Exchanges
We only replace products if they are defective, damaged, or incorrectly supplied.
If you need an exchange, please contact us first. Do not send products back without return approval.
